Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duos

There's no denying that I'm a sucker for lip products. From a gorgeously shiny gloss, to a bold matte lipstick, what you put on your lips has the power to change your whole look. That being said, it's not surprising that when I stumbled upon these Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duos, having been cleverly placed at the bottom of my Sephora online shopping cart page, I just couldn't resist giving them a try. Bite Beauty is not a line that I've had a whole lot of experience with yet, but all of the rave reviews I've come across definitely added to my intrigue.
The Luminous Crème Lipstick formula is ultra luxe, with a creamy finish and beautifully saturated, opaque color, while still managing to skip out on synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum byproducts. It also contains a free-radical fighting antioxidant, resveratrol, giving you the same age-fighting benefits as you would find in five glasses of red wine.

Each of these adorable duos contains two coordinating shades of mini lipsticks, weighing in at 0.05z a piece (about half of the full-size of 0.13 oz), and only costs $12 (exactly half the price of a full-sized lipstick). Considering that you're almost getting the same amount of product for half the price AND you get to try out two different shades, I would say these lippies are a total steal.

There are two different color combinations available. For those looking to go more natural, the Neutral duo contains shades Lychee (a light neutral pink) and Musk (a pink brown). If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, the Vivid duo may be right up your alley with the shades Palomino (a vibrant magenta) and Violet (a vibrant purple).

While I think all four shades are gorgeous, I will probably get the most regular use out of my Neutral duo, as both shades are beautiful for everyday wear. The vivid duo has some beautifully fun colors for the upcoming warmer weather, but could easily be toned down by being mixed with a less vibrant shade if you're feeling the need to be a bit more subdued.

I also have to say that I love this formula. If you haven't ever tried a true high-end lipstick before, it's hard to describe what makes it discernible from its drugstore cousins, but there's something distinctively luxe about a product like this. While the color is opaque and gorgeous, it still glides on with a velvety smoothness that you just don't easily find at mass retailers like Walgreens and CVS. The packaging has that buttery texture reminiscent of NARS packaging that is just so satisfying to hold in your hand. The duos are also sleek and small, which make them extra easy to throw into a clutch or handbag if touchups are needed on a night out.

All and all if you are curious about the Bite Beauty line, this is a great introduction that won't break the bank. If you're already a fan, I'd love to hear about your favorite shades from the line or any other Bite products you'd recommend.
